Geoff Harris biography
Geoff Harris is an American journalist who has currently worked as a reporter for ABC7 since joining the station in October 2019. Harris arrives at ABC7 from Salisbury, Maryland, where he spent three years as a sports anchor and reporter for 47ABC.
While at WMDT, he launched the Associated Press winning sports series ‘After the Whistle’, featuring local athletes who are training to further their athletic careers. When he came to Fort Myers, he saw a great opportunity to transition to the news, eager to learn from everyone in the newsroom.
Harris remained local for college, attending Temple University, where he graduated in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in media studies and production. While at school, he worked for the university’s football team as a video manager.
Outside of school, he interned at Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, NBC 10, WCHE 1520AM, and both Prettybird Productions and 800Kamerman located in Los Angeles. When he’s off duty, Geoff spends most of his time at the dog park with the dog Hudson. He also loves to run, read, watch movies and new TV series.
