Glen Walker is a renowned American journalist who currently works as a co-anchor for KTLA 5 News at 11, KTLA 5 News at 1 and KTLA 5 News at 3. He also reports on air his “Money Smart” segment several times a week on KTLA 5 News at 10 and 11.
Walker joined KTLA in May 2010 from KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV, where he co-hosted the weekend’s news on both stations. His career as a radio broadcaster began while studying Florida State University. After an internship at Tallahassee’s ABC affiliate, Glen worked as a production assistant at Florida Public Broadcasting for “Today in the Legislature,” where he operated a TV camera in the Florida State Senate and House of Representatives galleries.
After his graduation, Walker became the weekend sports anchor at the ABC affiliate Tallahassee. At the same time, he worked in a liquor store. His next step took him to WJHG-TV in Panama City, Florida, where he worked as a sports anchor as well as a photographer, editor and writer.
After working soon at the NBC affiliate in Macon Georgia, Walker moved to WIVB-TV in Buffalo, New York, where he toured with the NFL’s Buffalo Bills and NHL’s Buffalo Sabers. This gave him the opportunity to perfect the art of removing snow and scraping ice from windshields.

After nearly six years in Buffalo, Glen moved to sunny Southern California to work at the Prime Ticket Network. On the station, Glen hosted the award-winning nightly sports program “Press Box”, “LA Raiders Magazine” and “College Football Today”. In 1990, Walker narrowly escaped a stumble from “Traveler” the Trojan horse at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
In September 1995, Glen worked at WNBC-TV as a weekend sports anchor. Afterwards, he made a successful transition to the news, serving as co-host of the show “Saturday and Sunday Today in New York”. He was eventually promoted to the position of Weekend News Anchor at WNBC-TV. On September 11, 2001, Glen anchored WNBC-TV’s live news coverage, for which the station won several awards. In September 2002, he returned to his native Southern California.
Over the course of his career, Glen has won numerous awards, including multiple Los Angeles Emmys and a New York Emmy. He also received many UPI National and AP New York awards, and for three unprecedented consecutive years, from 1993 to 1995. Glen was also part of the “Best Team of News Anchors” nominated by the Southern California Sports Broadcasters.
