Hannah Storm Biography
Hannah Storm, born Hannah Lynn Storen Hicks, is a famous American sports commentator currently working for ESPN, serving as an anchor for SportsCenter. Additionally, Storm also hosted the pre-game show NBA Countdown on ABC.
As for her education, Hannah attended and graduated from Westminister Schools in Atlanta, Georgia. Additionally, in 1983, she also graduated from the University of Notre Dame. However, while at Notre Dame, she worked for NBC-owned WNDU-TV. Later, after graduation, she landed a job as a disc jockey at KNCN in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Additionally, Hannah worked at other stations including KSRR 97 Rock and KTXH Television, and worked as a weekend sports anchor at WCNC-TV 36 from 1988 to 1989. From there, she moved to CNN, where she began her national experience serving as the first female anchor on CNN Sports Tonight.
Later in 1992, Stormed transitioned to NBC. There, she covered the Olympics, NBA and WNBA basketball, as well as figure skating, National Football League and Major League Baseball. However, after about 10 years of service, on October 28, 2002, Hannah moved to CBS News, becoming one of the hosts of The Early Show.
While at CBS, Storm covered several major news events, including Hurricane Katrina, Super Bowl XXXVIII, and the Iraq War, among others. After her service at CBS, later in November 2007, CBS announced that she was leaving The Early Show. She later joined ESPN on May 10, 2008.
