Harold Kuntz is an American journalist who currently works as an anchor and weekend sports reporter for over 6 years, he prides himself on enjoying all that Kansas City has to offer. In addition, he is fortunate enough to be in the 12 countries that cover the Oklahoma State Cowboys, along with Tulsa and Oral Roberts. Harold expects a seamless transition for all teams in the KC area.
He’s no stranger to covering big events. During his Tulsa debut, he covered a Final Four along with several NCAA basketball tournaments and NBA playoff races with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Additionally, he was the first to interview the Thunder’s pick and Tulsa native Terrance Ferguson on the night of the NBA draft.
Regarding football, he’s covered bowl games, big games at the Big 12 and AAC, and moved down to cover the Dallas Cowboys. Prior to Tulsa, he was based in Hagerstown, MD, where he covered multiple games for the Redskins and Ravens, as well as following the professional careers of Bryce Harper and Manny Machado, from single ball to major leagues with the Nationals and Orioles.
Most notably, their favorite thing to find are stories related to sports and non-sports fans, such as the story of the resurgence of the popular Native American sport of stickball. He is active in the community, volunteering his time with the Rotary Club, Special Olympics, and the Wayman Tisdale Foundation, and hopes to do so in Kansas City.
Harold was named Tulsa’s Best Sports Anchor of 2018 by the Tulsa Press Club. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, watching movies and hanging out with his wife.
