Prior to joining NBC4, Hattie spent time docking in Virginia and West Virginia. In her career, she has covered numerous local and national news and subjects close to her heart.
Additionally, in 2018, Columbus Professional Firefighters with IAFF Local 67 recognized Hattie’s efforts with a plaque and nominated her for a national TV award with the IAFF, where she was a runner-up. Hawks graduated from temple university with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Political Science.
