Biography of Heather Hiscox
Heather Hiscox is a Canadian journalist who currently works as an anchor and reporter for CBS News. She hosts CBS News Now from 6am to 10am on weekdays on the CBS News Network. Additionally, she was the host of the station’s former morning television show, CBS News: Morning, which became part of CBS News Now when the network changed its name in 2009.
Born in Owen Sound, Ontario, she attended and graduated in 1986 from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature. Later, she graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Masters in Journalism in 1987.
Prior to joining her current station, she worked for CFPL-TV, CBS Montreal, Global Television Network, ASN and CHCH in Hamilton, Ontario. She also worked as a co-host of a morning show on 1290 CJBK in London, Ontario from 1990 to 1991. From 1988 to 1989 she did a variety of radio tours on London’s Roch FM96 CFPL-FM. She won the Miss Teen Canada pageant in 1981, aged 16.
