Heather Van Norman is an American head coach and former track runner famous for being the mother of Odell Beckham Jr who is a famous NFL player who currently plays for the New York Giants. Odelle has often spoken to his mother and said that he owes his career success to the mother who supports him.
Back at Heather, she attended Louisiana State University, where she met Odell Beckman Sr. during one of his games at LSU. At the time, he played as a running back (from 1989 to 1992). Heather’s coaching career began at Rice, where after two years she moved on to become an assistant coach. Fortunately, in 2002, she was named head coach at Tulane University and spent the next seven years producing student-athletes.
She coached an All-American under Gloria Asumnu, along with 144 all-conference nominations. They ended up winning 14 individual US conference titles in various events thanks to Van Norman. In addition, their teams also competed well in the classroom, as 70 of their individual team members made the C-USA Academic Honor Roll.
