Hilary Farr is a British Canadian designer, entrepreneur, TV presenter and former actress. She is famous for starring in the TV series HGTV and W Network TV Love It or List It along with David Visentin.
She is the president of Hilary Farr’s Designs, which was established in Toronto and New York. When she moved to Los Angeles, she renovated many houses and that’s how her career started. Although for small roles, she also appeared in films like ‘Layout for 5 Models, Sex Farm and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. She also mainly worked as an interior designer in many countries.
Farr became interested in theater and was introduced to interior design while helping her mother decorate her childhood home. She sang at Grease in London in 1973.
In Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver, Farr has appeared as a guest on several international Canadian interior design shows. She also performed Ross Petty’s stage version of Sleeping Beauty at the Elgin Theater in Toronto, and played the role of Evil One.
