Howard Bryant is an award-winning American author, sports journalist, and radio and television personality. He currently writes weekly columns for ESPN.com and ESPN The Magazine, ESPN, while regularly presenting on ESPN Radio since August 2007. Bryant is also a frequent speaker on The Sports Reporters and was the Weekend Edition sports correspondent with Scott Simon on National Public Radio.
Bryant is a prolific baseball writer on a variety of topics that affect the game. He is the author of the Legends series for young leaders; Unplug: A History of Race and Baseball in Boston; The Last Hero: The Life of Henry Aaron; and Juicing Game. He is also the only two-time winner of the prestigious Casey Award for writing about baseball.
Bryant joined ESPN after two years of service as a reporter for the Washington Post between 2005 and 2007. In that role, he covered general sports topics and the Washington Redskins.
