Ingrid Kelley is an American journalist who currently works as a reporter for WJBK-Fox 2 Detroit. She is grateful for the opportunity to connect with and report on the lives of people living in southern Michigan. Kelley attended and graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Later, she earned her master’s degree from Wayne State University.
Before moving back to her hometown, she lived in New York. During her stint in the Big Apple, she wore many hats. This included working as a writer on Fox News Channel and On-Air Talent for various cable news channels. She also worked as a freelance producer and writer for the Black Enterprise Business Report.
Kelley is a member of the Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists. She also gives back to her community as a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Kelley also serves as a mentor to students seeking career guidance. She believes that the knowledge gained through academic and professional experiences empowers her to encourage students.
