Is Miles Heizer Gay? What is His Relationship with Brandon Flynn?
The sexuality of Miles Heizer became a topic of discussion after his amazing and impressive performance as Alex Standall in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why. The series, which deals with bullying and suicide, focuses on a high school student who committed suicide, leaving behind 13 tapes explaining why he had to take his own life.
A few weeks after the series debuted on Netflix, rumors circulated that Heizer and Justin Foley, his rival in the series played by Brandon Flynn, might actually be a real-life subject. Speculation was further fuelled when the video of the duo sharing a kiss appeared online. The video was actually taken from a scene in a short film Home Movies directed by Kevin Rio and released on Vimeo a few months ago. The short film received an honorable mention for the Audience Award at the Outfest Fusion Film Festival for its portrayal of a strong love between gay men.
Miles Heizer’s representative responded to rumors that the duo was no more than friends. They were only friends from the show and not together, he said on page six. Many find it hard to believe that they are just friends; while it is true that the chemistry between the two men is indeed one that cannot be brushed off easily, we simply have to wait for them to confirm a point.
