The New Yorker was born on 3 December 1994 as the son of Joe Szymanski and Ginny Rodriquez Toranzo as Jake Austin Szymanski. Jake’s legacy is extremely multi-ethnic. While his father is of Polish, Irish and English descent, his mother has an Argentinean, Spanish, and Puerto Rican heritage, the last of which Jake embraces the most. The actor has a sibling, a younger sister, Ava.
After appearing in commercials in 2002, he appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman in the role of a character named Kid in a comedy sketch in 1698. The following year he played his first leading role in the animated series Go, Diego, Go! in which he sang the character Diego for three seasons.
