Biography of Janet Pascal
Janet Paschal is an inspirational American gospel musician, vocalist and writer often recognized for having the best vocals in Christian music. She was born on October 18, 1956 in Reidsville, North Carolina.
She was raised in a musically gifted Christian family. Her grandfather, a preacher, played a very important role in her inspiring life.
After his high school graduation, Paschal qualified to join the LeFevre, a family of gospel singers. Later, the group changed their name to Rex Nelon Singers after the last Lefevre left the group.
From that point on, she became a member of TV Minister Jimmy Swaggart’s crusade team. In 1986, Paschal began his performance profession, releasing her first collection entitled, I Give You Jesus on Jimmy Swaggart’s service label, Shiloh Records. A few different collections were made, but none were as successful as they were after Janet’s 1992 move to Nashville, Tennessee.
As a gospel vocalist, she is known for her collection The Good Road, which she released in 1997. She has also composed a similarly named book and performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Sydney Opera House.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 but later survived after a year-long battle with the chronic disease.
