
Jason De Rusha Biography
Jason DeRusha is a renowned Emmy Award-winning American journalist currently serving as the anchor for WCCO-TV This Morning, Mid-Morning, as well as covering food stories. He joined the station on April 1, 2003.
Since then, he has won nine Emmy Awards with his food coverage reaching the finals of the Outstanding TV segment at the famous national James Beard Awards. For his outstanding work, he has been nominated for over 20 Regional Emmy Awards, winning Regional Emmys for Anchoring WCCO This Morning for his breaking news coverage, reporting on his DeRusha Eats segment and Good Question segment.
In the Twin Cities, Jason is past chairman of the Board of Governors of the Upper Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. He is even a frequent speaker and presenter at charity events.
Additionally, Jason frequently fills WCCO Radio and has written for the Minnesota regional magazine since 2009. Currently, Jason is the food critic for the Minnesota Monthly as well as a glass art collector judging the Uptown Art Fair.
