Biography of Jason Gaskell
Jason Gaskell is an American TV personality known for appearing on the reality series Below Deck Mediterranean season 7. On the show, he played the role of a sailor alongside his new crews including Natalya Scudder, Raygan Tyler, and Dave White among others. Currently, Gaskell works as a captain on his own boat after leaving his finance job. Furthermore, he is also the owner of Sextant Sailing and Sextant Consulting.
Jason was born and raised in Valparaiso, Indiana, United States. After completing high school, he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from Purdue University. In addition, he also holds a Masters in Economics from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2020. That same year, he obtained the Yachtmaster Certification from the Royal Yachting Association. Right after graduation, he started his career in finance. In 2002, he founded Gaskell Stringing Service and ran the company until 2008. In addition, he also worked as an intern at Scannell Wealth Management Group (LLC).
Thereafter, Gaskell served as a staff auditor at Lane Gorman Trubitt before joining MMD Holds as a controller. He worked there for two years and then joined Essilor as a Senior Financial Analyst until 2014. Since then, Jason has worked at Ambit Energy as a Senior Financial and Commercial Analyst Rick. During his time there, he was the lead analyst and sole energy trader responsible for trading in excess of $750 million a year.
