Jazmin Bailey biography
Jazmin Bailey is an Emmy-winning American journalist, dynamic speaker, and author who joined FOX 8 as a weekend morning anchor/reporter in March 2021. She grew up in West Cleveland and most recently spent seven years in Orlando, Florida, working on WESH 2 News Sunrise as an anchor. Jazmin has been welcoming viewers of Winter Park, Central Florida TV since 2013 with her bright smile and top daily headlines. She is a proud graduate of the Michigan State University School of Journalism.
Bailey is proud to have covered some of the region’s biggest anchor table stories, including the Noor Salman Verdict, the Markeith Loyd manhunt and the deadly Walt Disney World alligator attack.
Jazmin got her journalistic aspirations after watching David Bloom and Soledad O’Brien on NBC’s Weekend Today from her kitchen table. Afterwards, you could find her practicing her journalistic voice as she read her social studies and science books around the building.
Her dreams came true when she joined the Saint Joseph Academy advertising team and followed WKYC Channel 3 News and WEWS NewsChannel 5 during her freshman year. At WEWS, she met Danita Harris, the anchor she grew up watching her whole life.

Since 2007, Bailey has had many journalism opportunities, where he credits Michigan University and his dedication to all of them. During the 2008 presidential coverage, Jazmin worked with Spartan TV Network as an anchor and blog reporter. In the summer of 2009, she interned at MacDonald Broadcasting promoting POWER 96.5FM and creating MIKE 101.7FM promotions.
Baileys interned with HOM-TV on the reporting lane, opening doors to his role as a Sideline reporter for Capital City Stealth, Lansing, MI’s own minor league football team.
As of March 2021, Bailey is happy to be home as he joins FOX 8 as a weekend morning anchor/reporter. Additionally, Bailey is the author of The Woman With The Oil: Baring All and Healing From The Inside Out.
