Jenise Fernandez is an Emmy-winning American journalist who currently serves as an anchor and reporter at WPLG, an ABC-affiliated television station in Miami, Florida. She joined the Local 10 News family in November 2014. Furthermore, Jenise works as a traffic reporter at WPLG. Jenise spent four years in the Deep South, she’s excited to be back home reporting for the station she grew up watching.
Prior to joining Local 10 News, Fernandez served as a reporter and anchor for WEAR in Pensacola. She worked there for two years covering everything from breaking news to feature stories. Jenise was the first reporter to report live stories during historic floods in April 2014. In addition, Fernandez also covered the Escambia County Jail explosion, F-35 training at Eglin Air Force Base, and Colonel Bud’s funeral. Day.
