Jennifer Bellamy biography
Jennifer Bellamy is an American journalist who is currently working as a reporter and anchor for 11Alive in Atlanta since joining the network in April 2015. Regarding her education, she is a proud graduate of the University of Georgia. She majored in Broadcast News and a minor in Spanish.
After graduation, she began her career in Macon, Georgia at 13WMAZ where she reported, produced and served as a fill-in anchor. While there, Bellamy hosted segments, answering viewers’ questions weekly via “Get Answers” and awarding the gold spatula to restaurants for cleanliness and reporting on low health inspection scores.
From there, she joined News19 in Columbia, South Carolina, where she worked as a general policy reporter and was later promoted to weekend anchor. While there, Bellamy interviewed several presidential candidates, including Herman Cain and former Texas Governor Rick Perry, as well as former South Carolina Governor and United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley.
Bellamy was also part of the New19 team awarded the 2015 Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Awards for Outstanding Local Television Reporting. She also contributed to the South Carolina Department of Social Services’ coverage count after the death of children and reports of problems at the state agency.
During her free time, she loves to cheer for the Bulldogs and Falcons, along with any other Atlanta team with red in their colors. She also enjoys music, traveling, eating out and spending time with her family and friends.
