Jennifer Gould is an American Award-winning journalist who currently works as a reporter for KTLA 5 Morning News in Los Angeles. Her broadcast experience spans more than two decades, gaining experience in breaking news and highlights for the broad world of health, sports and entertainment.
A native of Los Angeles, Gould participated in the University of Southern California dual specialization in broadcast journalism and political science.
She is currently a renowned broadcast reporter in the United States after working on KTLA 5 Morning News since 2009. Prior to joining KTLA, Jennifer served as a sports anchor and reporter on KTTV-TV; covering the NBA, MLB, NFL and NHL. On the station, she won the Golden Mike award for best sports reporting in 2003. From Arizona, Gould went to WFOR, the station owned and operated by CBS in Miami, Florida. On the station, she covered stories ranging from the electoral battle in the 2000 presidential election and Elian Gonzalez’s international custody battle between the United States and Cuba. Furthermore, Jennifer covered the murder of fashion designer Gianni Versace and the ValuJet accident.
From 1996 to 1999, Gould worked as a morning anchor and general reporter. She was then promoted to serve as the weekend anchor for the midday and 5:30 pm news. Simultaneously, Jennifer presented “The Scene”, an entertainment program; she was the weekday morning news announcer for WMXJ-FM, and produced, wrote and hosted “Wednesday’s Child”, profiling children available for adoption.
Jennifer won the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s “National Leader of the Future Award” for helping to place 22 children in loving homes. She was also featured on the cover of “Dimensions Magazine” for her achievement. Having been adopted, Gould has also written a semi-autobiographical book on adoption, “The Missing Piece”, awaiting publication.
