Jeremy Diamond is an American journalist who works as a White House correspondent for CNN based in Washington, DC, where he covered the Biden administration. Prior to that, he covered the Trump administration and the 2020 campaign. He also covered Donald Trump’s North Korea policy, Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, and its West Wing.
Diamond chronicled Trump’s rise, traveling the country as an embedded reporter with his campaign from its inception in 2015 until Election Day. Most notably, he joined CNN as a reporter for CNNPolitics in September 2014, after two previous internships at the network.
Prior to joining CNN, he majored in journalism as a reporter and news editor at GW Hatchet. GW Hatchet is an independent student newspaper at George Washington University. While there, he released a national news story after finding that university officials misrepresented the school’s final aid policy. This story won him a Collegiate Journalism Award from the Institute of Political Journalism and a Pinnacle Award.
