Joel Klatt is a college football commentator and college football game analyst for Fox Sports, working alongside announcer Gus Johnson and reporter Jenny Taft. In 2020, Joel served as the network’s lead XFL analyst, alongside announcer Curt Menefee. He played college football for the University of Colorado Buffaloes.
Klatt is considered one of the best players to have ever played at quarterback in Colorado. He joined the show as a favorite in 2002 and set 44 school records as a starter for the Buffaloes between 2003 and 2005. Additionally, he became only the third player in school history to throw over 2,500 yards in his first season as a starter at the Buffaloes. Colorado, accumulating 2,614 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Klatt began broadcasting when he began working as an analyst on Friday night high school football games in the Denver area in the fall of 2006 for Fox Sports Rocky Mountain. Shortly afterward, Joel became a studio presenter for Fox Sports Southwest’s college football coverage from 2007 to 2008 and later rose to serve as Fox Sports Net’s color analyst in 2009.
Back in Denver, Colorado, Klatt used his baseball experience to work as a pre- and post-game presenter for the Colorado Rockies at Root Sports Rocky Mountain.
