Jonathan Wilson is a British sports journalist who is currently a writer for several publications, including The Guardian and Sports Illustrated. Wilson is also a columnist for World Soccer and Unibet and the founder of The Blizzard. Furthermore, he appears in The Guardian’s football podcast “Football Weekly”.
Born in Sunderland, England, he studied English at Oxford University and was a sports editor for the student newspaper The Oxford Student. He did his Masters at Durham University, where he was a Fellow of the Graduate Society.
As a writer, he has written for The Independent, FourFourTwo magazine and The Daily Telegraph. Additionally, he was a football correspondent for the Financial Times from 2002 to 2006. He currently writes for The Guardian and Sports Illustrated. He is also a columnist for World Soccer.
