Jordan McCool is an American journalist who currently works as a weekend morning anchor and weekday reporter at Western Mass News. Prior to joining Western Mass News, she worked as a reporter for WJHG-TV, an NBC affiliate and number one station, in Panama City Beach, FL.
Jordan is a graduate of University of Florida with a degree in Telecommunications. Furthermore, while at school, she worked for her school’s newsroom, WUFT News (PBS), on various platforms including TV, radio, and the web.
Prior to joining Western Mass News, Jordan was the morning reporter for WJHG_TV, the NBC affiliate and also the number one station in Panama City Beach, Florida. during her two and a half years in Florida, she covered community-based news for breaking news events including Hurricane Michael; the Category 5 hurricane that devastated the Florida Panhandle.
Additionally, she started her own series, “Everyday Heroes” after the hurricane, in which she featured individuals or organizations making a difference in the community.
Furthermore, McCool is an award-winning journalist. She received two 2019 Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists first place awards. Jordan also won first place in overall designation form for her article about two sisters who stayed in Mexico Beach during Hurricane Michael. Furthermore, she also won first place in the Reporter category.
When McCool is not working, she enjoys everything outdoors – swimming, skiing, boating and hiking. In addition, she loves to travel, find new breweries and restaurants to try and spend time with family and friends.
