Josephine Langford is an Australian actress known for her role as Tessa Young on the series After. Her other film awards include playing Emma Cunningham in Moxie and Zoey in the upcoming Netflix film The Other Zoey and Katy Gibson in Gigi & Nate.
Born in Perth, Western Australia, she was raised in Applecross, where as a child she became interested in music and played the saxophone, violin and piano. She even wrote and performed the song “Shadows” for a music competition in 2008. In addition, she wrote two more songs, Lonley and Sea Shanty.
She started her acting career at the age of 13 and in 2012 started taking acting classes at the Perth Film School. At age 14, she began appearing in several short films such as Sex Ed, When Separating and Gypsy Blood. Most notably, she made her screen debut in the independent film Pulse in 2017.
Langford went on to star as a supporting actress in Wish Upon the same year. Furthermore, she made her television debut in 2017 in the series Wolf Creek. In 2018, she was cast as Tessa Young in the movie After and has reprized that role in all of its sequels. In 2019, she appeared in the American horror anthology web television series Into the Dark.
