Julie Leonardi biography
Julie Leonardi is an American journalist who currently works as a reporter for NBC6 South Florida and joined the station in January 2021. Prior to joining NBC6, she worked at WFXT Boston 25 News as a general reporter, multimedia journalist, and storytelling reporter.
Leonardi attended the SI Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast and Digital Journalism. While taking classes at the London campus, she interned at Raindance. tv and worked as a content producer and reporter for the network. Leonardi also interviewed actors, musicians and leaders of English pop culture ahead of the British Independent Film Awards.
She interned at WWSB-ABC August 7, 2006 to December 2006, where she was a confrontation reporter and wrote copy for newspapers. In addition, she worked on the assignment desk and interned at SNN LOCAL NEWS6 from January 2007 to May 2007.

Additionally, from September 2009 to December 2009, she worked as a reporter and writer at Raindance TV, where she interviewed actors, directors and musicians. She also blogged for the website Raindance. Leonardi worked as a news intern at WFSB-CBS3 from May 2010 to August 2010. Afterwards, she worked as a news intern at WSYR-TV for 1 year and 4 months. Julie was also a production assistant on ESPN from November 2011 to October 2012.
After leaving the station, she worked as a reporter and anchor for KMOT-TV in Minot, North Dakota. She then worked as a reporter at WFSB-TV from December 2015 to February 2016, where she worked as a freelance reporter for Connecticut News Leader for several months.
