Kade Garner is an American journalist hailing from Northern Utah and working as a correspondent for ABC 4 Utah, which he joined in April 2021.
His passion for news started when he was a kid, when he used to spend hours peeking through holes in the wooden face of the backyard to see what the neighboring kids were doing. However, her love of news was motivated by spending time with her teenage mother and watching the news together.
Kade participated in the Walter Cronkite School of journalism and mass communication at Arizona State University. While at school, he interned at Ability360, which was an organization that focused on improving the lives of people living with a disability. Garner wrote for the organization’s quarterly magazine, where he wrote in-depth stories about people who often feel voiceless.
After graduation, Kade spent two years working as a reporter and covered all things East Idaho and western Wyoming. Covered an official visit to Grand Teton National Park by former First Lady Melania Trump, the case of Lori Vallow Daybell and their missing children, and multiple mascot changes at high schools across the region.
