Prior to that, she began her career at WXVT in Greenville, Mississippi. She later moved to WCTI based in New Bern, North Carolina to work as an anchor and morning reporter.
Coleman attended and graduated from McDowell High School. She then continued her education in University of San Bonaventure in Olean, New York, United States, where he majored in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Her career began at WXVT based in Greenville, Mississippi, after which she moved to WCTI based in New Bern, North Carolina to work as a morning anchor. In 2010, Coleman got the chance to work on WICU TV / Channel 12, which is in her hometown.
