Karen Devine is an American journalist who currently works as an investigative reporter for KESQ News Channel 3, an ABC and FOX affiliate in the Coachella Valley since October 2009. She anchors at 5pm, 6pm, 10am and 11pm Monday through Friday. Additionally, she is the only female member of the station’s Team I, an investigative reporting unit.
Prior to joining her current station, she worked for an NBC affiliate station in Palm Springs, California, KMIR-TV as a reporter and anchor for 17 years and 9 months.
In her career, she won several awards. She has won Emmy Awards, several Edward R. Murrow Regional Awards, an Athena Award from the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce, and a Golden Mike Award. In addition, she was named “Woman of the Year” in 2019 by Representative Chad Mayes, representative of the 42nd District.
She was recently awarded the Silver Circle Award by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. After her education, she is graduated in california state university at Fullerton, where he graduated with a BA in Television, Radio and Film, with a focus on broadcast journalism in 1990.
When not working, Karen can be found volunteering in the community. Karen is a member of The Girlfriend Factor, the Palm Springs Women in Film and Television Advisory Board. She also organizes dozens of events each year and offers her time at local schools to teach students about TV journalism.
