Katherine Amenta is an American journalist who currently serves as the co-anchor of WPXI Channel 11 Morning News based in Pittsburg. WPXI is currently ranked as the highest rated morning news show in Pittsburg. She has won around three Emmy Awards for her incredible news coverage since 2013. Prior to WPXI, Katherin spent time working as a news correspondent for NewsChannel 8 based in Washington DC.
Amenta was born and raised by Italian parents who live in West Windsor, New Jersey. She also spent a few years living on the shores of Ocean City, New York. Katherine attended WWP High School in her hometown. She was also an active member of the school’s journalism club. In 2000, Amenta enrolled at Villanova University, where he graduated with a BA in Communications and Journalism in 2004.
