Katie Griffin is a Canadian actress and singer famous for her roles in several television movies and feature films. In cartoons, her best-known roles include the voice of Sailor Mars in the original Canadian English dub of Sailor Moon. Additionally, she is the voice of Laugh-a-Lot in Care Bears: Journey to Joke-a-lot.
Raised in Scarborough, Ontario, she attended Edgewood Junior Public School when she was eight. She played the role of The Artful Dodger at her school, which gained her recognition from her mother, who was the school principal at the time. She also attended the David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute.
Katie started acting when she was 15 after appearing in a play at the Ryerson Theater and getting noticed by an agent. She has been hired for local commercials and television commercials in Canada, as well as television movie specials. After graduating from high school, Katie switched agents and continued with her acting gigs. When she was a student at Ryerson University, she was offered a role in the television movie “Up to Now”.
