Katie Lasalle is an American reporter and anchor who currently works as a weatherman at Denver7 (ABC affiliate) since joining the station in March 2016. However, Lasalle began her broadcasting career at Plum TV based in Aspen, Colorado. After one winter, she went to Coos Bay, Oregon to serve as a multimedia journalist before taking on a similar role in Eugene.
Lasalle is a proud graduate of the University of Colorado where he joined in 2009 and graduated in 2012 with a BA in Journalism and Broadcast News with a specialization in Digital Media. At the university, she served as vice president of the Cultural Events Council from September 2010 to December 2012. In this role, she monitored the allocation of resources for UC student group events and Council Projects.
In addition, she predicted the varied climate of the Pacific Northwest, covered and reported stories from politics and housing issues, from community events. She later became the anchor of the evening news. Her role at Denver7 was to serve the station’s weatherman, anchor and reporter.
More recently, Lasalle created a series called ExplOregon that captured some of the surprising aspects of the state. The series included backpacking, skydiving and skiing. Lasalle has explored Oregon and is currently looking forward to many more new Colorado adventures. She currently co-hosts a similar lifestyle series on Denver7 known as Mile High Must along with 5280 Magazine.
