Katie Raml is an award-winning American journalist who currently works as an anchor at ABC15 Arizona, where she hosts the 5pm, 6pm and 10pm news. Most notably, she started her career at KNDU-TV in Kennewick, Washington. While there, she worked as a reporter and morning anchor. Furthermore, she anchored the top Northwest Today for a period of 2 years.
Kate was hired by ABC15 in 2001 as a reporter. Later, in the summer of 2002, she was promoted to weekend anchor. In the fall of 2002, she was promoted again to her current role. However, her real passion is reporting. In her freshman year at ABC15, she received a Rockey Mountain Emmy for her series on border issues. Her extensive wildfire venture in Arizona won her another Emmy.
Furthermore, she won an Emmy for anchoring on ABC15. The Associated Press named her Anchor of the Year in 2015. Growing up in the Valley, she participated Lagoa Primary School, Mohave High Schooland Saguaro College. After that, she went to the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in Arizona State University. Here, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, along with a major in French.
