Kelsey Davis is an American journalist who currently serves as the Morning News anchor for WVUE-TV Fox 8 News in New Orleans, Louisiana, since joining the team in September 2020. Prior to joining Fox 8 News, Davis worked for Fox 6 News in Birmingham, Alabama as a traffic anchor as of September 2017.
Born and raised in Arkansas, Kelsey attended Woodland Academy before joining Ronald Reagan High School for her college degree. After graduating from high school in 2007, Davis entered Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
While attending LSU, Davis was crowned Miss Louisiana State University in 2010. She also interned at the Louisiana Deputy Governor’s Office from 2009 to 2011. Immediately after graduation, Davis joined WAFB-TV in Baton Togue, Louisiana as a reporter. After spending three years at the station, Kelsey joined WDSU TV in New Orleans to work as a morning reporter and weekend anchor.
In September 2017, Kelsey moved to Birmingham, Alabama to join WBRC Fox 6 News as a traffic anchor and news anchor. After serving the station for three years, Kelsey joined WVUE-Tv, Fox 8 News as the Morning News anchor.
During her journalistic career, Kelsey has reported on everything from jazz festivals to Saints Football, to the aftermath of devastating natural disasters, to major state elections. Some of his accolades include being a founding member of the Baton Rouge Area Association of Black Journalists. Additionally, Davis is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated at LSU.
