Kenny Albert is an American journalist who currently works as a sportscaster. He is the only sports announcer who currently plays play-by-play for all four major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada. When he was young, his parents gave him a tape recorder on his fifth birthday to practice his broadcasting.
After that, his father took him to a New York Rangers game during his sixth birthday. At age 14, he became the official Rangers statistic on radio. He then wrote content for the Rangers show at age 16. From 1981 to 1986, growing up in Sands Point, he covered high school sports for the Port Washington News at Paul D. Schreiber High School.
Regarding his education, he graduated from New York University in 1990 with a degree in broadcasting and journalism. He was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and worked in the sports department at WNYU radio. While at WNYU, he was able to get quick responses while announcing local games.
He is still a frequent guest on WNYU-FM’s sports show The Cheap Seats. Furthermore, he has made many appearances on the popular New York internet sports radio show Sports Heaven with MARK and Evan.
