Who is Kevin Jonas?
Paul Kevin Jonas II was born in Teaneck, New Jersey, the son of Denise Marie (née Miller), a former singer and sign language teacher, and Paul Kevin Jonas Sr., a songwriter, musician, and former ordained Christian minister. His family includes his three younger brothers Joe, Nick, and Frankie, with whom he grew up in Wyckoff, a township in Bergen County, New Jersey.
Kevin Jonas grew up in a music-loving family and began learning to play the guitar and piano at the age of 12. As he learned and mastered the instruments to make good music, he often practiced with his younger brothers. It wasn’t long before one of them, Nick, was discovered and signed to Columbia Records as a young artist with potential. The Jonas Brothers’ debut album “It’s About Time” was released on August 8, 2006, in a limited edition of 50,000 copies, as Sony Music Entertainment, the owners of Colombia Records had no further interest in promoting the band.
Kevin Jonas and his brothers then switched to Hollywood Records when they were sold by Colombia Records in early 2007. Their eponymous and second album entitled “Jonas Brothers” was released on August 7, 2007, “A Little Bit Longer” (third album) followed a year later, on August 12, 2008, and their fourth album “Lines, Vines, and Trying Times” was released on June 16, 2009. Three years later, it became known that the Jonas Brothers split from Hollywood Records and bought the rights to their music.
During the time that Kevin Jonas and his brothers pursued their music career, they were also involved in some acting work, appeared in Hanna Montana’s Me and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas, and were filmed in Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. This happened after several problems that they had had in the group but had always repressed. Kevin was busy being a father to his two bundles of joy and, of course, a loving caregiver to his comrade-in-arms. His music career seems to have taken a break, as he is now more of an entrepreneur with a personal interest in JonasWerner: a real estate development and construction company he founded after separating from his brothers. Kevin is also the Co-CEO of The Blu Market; a company primarily focused on communicating and promoting social media influence to businesses, and he is also a partner in the video-sharing app We Heart It.
