Kirsty Wark is a famous British journalist, broadcaster and television presenter, known for leading BBC Two’s news and current affairs programs Newsnight since 1993, and its weekly arts spin-off Newsnight Review (later The Review Show) from 2002 to 2014.
Wark joined the BBC in 1976 as a postgraduate researcher at BBC Radio Scotland, a year later she was promoted to producer for Morning Scotland and the current affairs programme. In 1982, Wark switched to television, producing Reporting Scotland and the political lunchtime program Agenda, and the current affairs series Current Account.
In addition, she went on to present, Seven Days, leading coverage of Reporting Scotland, Left, Right and Center and Scottish Questions for BBC Scotland.
