Krystal Ball biography

Krystal Ball (Krystal Marie Ball) is an American political journalist and policy expert who co-hosts Rising with the Hill’s Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti, produced by Hill. She has appeared on Fox News, CNBC, CNN and Real Time with Bill Maher.

Previously, Krystal was a contract contributor to MSNBC, as well as a regular contributor to HuffPost. She is currently a co-host with Kyle Kulinski on the progressive podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. In 2010, Krystal ran to represent Virginia’s first congressional district in the United States House of Representatives, contesting incumbent Republican nominee Rob Wittman.

In October of the same campaign period, bloggers allegedly posted sexually suggestive pictures of Ball with her then-husband at a Christmas party in 2004. She blamed her opponent Wittman for the leak as part of a smear campaign.
