Larry Ellison is an American tycoon and investor who rose to fame as the chief technology officer and founder of a famous software giant called Oracle Corporations. Ellison was born to Jewish parents who lived in the Bronx, New York City, but was raised in Chicago, Illinois. He also grew up in a very intellectual family with his father working as a pilot. Larry was diagnosed with pneumonia at nine months old and couldn’t deal with it when he was sick. Therefore, Ellison’s biological parents gave him up to his relatives for adoption.

In 1977, Ellison was able to launch his first venture as a white paper led product called Oracle. Oracle then grew to become a database vendor for mid-range and low-end systems around the time of 1978 and 1994. Ellison’s company went through several changes before becoming the Oracle corporation in the 1980s. Larry has worked with Steve Jobs, IBM, My SQL and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal for his incredible success as a business tycoon.
