Born in Atlanta, Georgia, she attended Tri-Cities High School in East Point, Georgia. She later attended Clark Atlanta University before attending the University of Phoenix where she majored in business administration. Before joining Xscape, she performed with a group called Percise.

In 2004, along with Tamika Scott, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and new member Kiesha Miles, they attempted to renew Xscape, but this reconciliation was short-lived and they disbanded in 2005.
Later, Scott released her new single “Bad Timing” from her studio album in 2012. Later in 2013, she starred in the second season of TV One’s R&b show Divas: Atlanta. In 2017, she rejoined band members Tamika Scott, Kindi Buruss and Tiny Harris to continue touring as Xscape.
