Laura Garcia is an award-winning American journalist who currently serves as the morning anchor for KNTV NBC 11 News since 2000. Prior to joining her current station, she worked in Phoneix, Arizona for two consecutive years. While there, she served as an investigative reporter for KPHO-TV.
Most notably, she began her career in San Francisco working as a production assistant for KGO-TV, where she worked for a year from 1991 to 1992. She then transferred to reporting and anchoring in Fresno for KMPH Fox 26. Afterwards, she was hired by KFSN ABC 30 News and served as a reporter from 1993 to 1995.
Starting in 1995, she worked at KSEE 24 NBC News as an anchor and reporter until 1997. In due course, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she worked for KPHO CBS 5 as an investigative reporter before joining her current station.
During her free time, she enjoys skiing, golfing, snowshoeing, reading and cooking. Regarding her education, she attended Saint Mary’s College of California where she majored in Bachelor of Communications and Government.
