Laura Rutledge is an American journalist who currently works as a reporter and host for ESPN and the SEC Network. She is also an American beauty pageant title holder of St. Petersburg, Florida, who was named Miss Florida on July 7, 2012. Rutledge received her crown from outgoing titleholder Kristian Manolo.
After her education, she attended School of Celebration in Celebration, Florida. She later graduated from University of Florida, where she majored in broadcast journalism and was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha fraternity.
Before joining her current station, she worked for FOX Sports as a side reporter. Previously, she covered Fox broadcasts of the Tampa Bay Rays games and after the San Diego Padres games. Rutledge also provided field reports for Fox College Sports’ coverage of the 2012 NCPA National Paintball Championship in Lakeland.
In 2014, she hosted the Coors Light PostGame show on Fox College Football and the halftime schedule of FSN college football games. Furthermore, she presented “Chargers Insider” for San Diego Charges in 2013 and “SD Live”.
On August 17, 2020, she became the host of ESPN’s flagship NFL show “NFL Live”. She is the producer and host of SDLive, an original show she started at Fox Sports San Diego.
