Lauren Pastrana is an award-winning American journalist who currently works at CBS Miami as a news anchor. Furthermore, she is the Emmy nominated reporter who came to CBS Miami in 2012 and is now a co-anchor of CBS4 News weekdays at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm and 11pm. Pastrana graduated from Summa Cum Laude at the Campus of Florida, where she received the Four-Year Scholar Award, a distinction bestowed upon those who graduated top of the class.
After her graduation, she served as an afternoon news reporter and anchor on WIOD before her stint in Southwest Florida, where she reported on everything from Super Bowl XLIV to local political corruption. She then spent a stint as a stadium reporter for the “Miami Dolphins Game Day Live” show.
Following her career, she has helped lead CBS4’s coverage of historic events such as hurricanes, elections, the death of Fidel Castro, the coronavirus pandemic, and the 2020 social justice protest. Pastrana returned to South Florida from WINK- TV, a CBS affiliate in Fort Myers, where he was a reporter and anchor.
Most notably, she launched on-air franchises while anchoring the morning show such as “Lauren’s List” and “South Florida Survivors”, helped adopt pets in her weekly segment “Dogs in the City”, and talked about sports daily during “Talking with Joe”.
