Liz Claman biography
Liz Claman is an American journalist who currently works as a news anchor for the Fox Business Network show Countdown to the Closing Bell. She was previously the co-anchor of the CNBC morning television show Morning Call. Prior to that, she co-hosted Wake Up Call and Market Watch and hosted CNBC Magazine’s Cover to Cover show.
Claman worked temporarily on a rotating basis alongside other anchors as a replacement for The News with Brian Williams before Brian left MSNBC for NBC in 2014.
Liz is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in French. She is also the holder of the Certificat Supérieur de Français of the University of Paris. she answered Philips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, where she was the school station, WPAA disc jockey, and later joined Beverly Hills High School.
Claman began his television career as a production assistant for Ann Curry, Paula Zahn and Jim Lampley at KCBS-TV in Los Angeles, California. His first on-air reporting job was on WSYX-TV in Columbus, Ohio. She then followed up with a role as a co-host of a morning talk show, Morning Exchange on WEWS-TV in Cleveland, Ohio, between 1991 and 1994. She later worked as a weekend anchor on WHDH-TV in Boston, Massachusetts.
During her television career, Claman became the youngest producer in KCBS history to win an Emmy Award. Furthermore, she won an Emmy for Outstanding Morning Anchor at WEWS, Cleveland. In April 1998, Liz began her career as a freelancer, based in Fort Lee, New Jersey, and later in nearby Edgewater.
