Lois Thome is an American journalist who works as an anchor at WINK News in Fort Myers. She joined the news team in May 1992 and has over 30 years of experience. Previously, she worked as an anchor and reporter for WFRV and WJMN TV Inc, based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, for four years.
In addition, she has been recognized for delivering news with authority and passion, with a heart for educational matters, and for being cool under pressure. She won the award for best news anchor in South Florida and the Quill Pen award. Thome was awarded by the Florida Association of School Administrators and the Woman in History Award from the American Association of Business Women. She also received the Phi Delta Kappa Layman of the Year and the Southwest Florida Library Network’s Library Advocate of the Year.
