Lucas Black is a veteran American film and television actor who is best known for his role as Sean Boswell in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. He is also recognized for his roles on the CBS television series American Gothic (1995 – 1996), a special agent Christopher LaSalle on CBS’s NCIS: New Orleans (2014 – 2019).
Lucas debuted with a small role in Kevin Costner’s film The War (1994) at age 11, without formal acting lessons. This role helped him land his next job in the series American Gothic (1995). When the series went to main cast in North Carolina, the casting team in Wilmington remembered Lucas and suggested him for the role of Caleb Temple.
Black was next seen in Sleeper His Sling Blade (1996) and then in another dark film Ghosts of Mississippi (1996). At school, Lucas spent most of his free time modeling and sports for Calvin Klein. He landed another summer hit with The X Files (1998) and eventually landed a lead role in the independent film Crazy in Albama (1999).
