Biography of Mandy Noell
Mandy Noell is an Emmy Award-winning American journalist currently working on KARK 4 and Fox 16 in Little Rock, Arkansas as an anchor and morning news reporter. Noell joined the KARK team in January 2020. Mandy is from Pittsburgh and is a proud Virginia Tech Hokie. Her first visit to Little Rock was during her interview, and she fell in love with the State of Nature and the City Within a Park.
Before Noell moved to Little Rock, she spent three years as head night anchor on KARK’s sister station, WKBN-TV, based in Youngstown, Ohio. While at Youngstown, she was the solo anchor of two Emmy Award-winning newscasts and an Edward R. Murrow Award-winning newscast. In addition, the national opioid crisis hit Youngstown particularly, and she hosted several live events at City Hall, attended by politicians, leaders and community members working on the front lines of the epidemic.
Additionally, Noell mounted a special broadcast celebrating the women’s suffrage movement. She also produced and wrote a documentary about a 1994 cold case involving two teenage girls, Sarah Boehm and Kathryn Menendez. She believes that lighting up murder victims and the missing is one of the most important parts of her job.

Before moving to WKBN-TV, Mandy worked at WMBF News in Myrtle Beach for a period of four years. Her primary role was as an anchor and breaking news reporter and worked with the digital team to produce web stories. She covered the disappearance of Heather Elvis, the 2015 thousand-year flood event, reporting waist-deep water in her own neighborhood, the historic 2013 ice storm, as well as several hurricanes.
Also, Mandy volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas as a Big. During her free time, she enjoys cheering for the Hokies and Pittsburg sports teams, watching any sport of the season, running, hiking, climbing and kayaking. Plus, when she’s not trying new things, Mandy is being sent around by her two cute and cheeky rescue pups, Bailey and Zoe, aka the BowWowBrats.
Noell attended and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2011 with a BA in Liberal Arts and Humanities, Communication and Electronic and Print Journalism.
