Manny Alvarez is a Cuban-American obstetrician and gynecologist who has appeared on Fox News Channel programs such as America’s Newsroom, Fox & Friends, Happening Now, Varney & Co., Money with Melissa, The O’Reilly Factor, The Kelly File, and Fox News Weekend, as well as on the local affiliate, WNYW-Fox 5 News.
In 1981, Alvarez graduated from Department of Medicine from Universidad Central del Este, a private university founded in San Pedro de Macorís on October 15, 1970, in the Dominican Republic.
In an effort to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease, Alvarez serves on the board of the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation, which facilitates patient education and research grants for scientists. Another board member is Howard Lutnick, chairman and CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P.
During Postpartum Support International’s 20th anniversary in June 2006, Alvarez was recognized by Hillary Clinton for his role in giving speeches and community education on women’s health. He is a member of the organization’s President’s Advisory Board.
