Martinez graduated in Washington State University with a degree in Journalism and Political Science in 1995. He joined Fox 10 in June 2002 as a reporter. Marc was the only journalist allowed to board a space shuttle. Some of the more memorable stories Martinez has covered include the Arizona wildfire and the flight with the Canadian air team Snowbirds.
