Biography of Marcus Leshock
Marcus Leshock is an American Emmy Award-winning journalist and television presenter who has worked at WGN-TV as a reporter since joining the station in 2009. As of September 2013, Leshock has become a cast member of the WGN Morning News every year. days from 4 am to 10 am.
Marcus earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Communication from NIU. While at university, he worked at the school’s newspaper, the Northern Star, editing the entertainment section “The Weekender”. He also contributed to entertainment reports for the Northern Television Center. Currently, Marcus serves as an adjunct instructor at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
Leshock anchors a segment of “Trending News” where he collects all the stories, videos and photos people are sharing online at that moment – all so you can stay on top of the interesting things the world is sharing as you walk out the door.
