Mark Bullion is an American journalist who currently works as an anchor and reporter at WJRT-TV, ABC 12 News. He joined the team in January 2017. Bullion previously worked at KTVA-TV in Anchorage, Alaska as a weekend weather anchor and weekday weather producer before joining ABC 12 News.
Bullion was born in Michigan but has worked across the United States. He started his career in WHIZ-TV in Zanesville, Ohio. He learned the ins and outs of docking, reporting and weather forecasting there. Mark then moved to Peoria, Illinois, where he worked for WEEK/WHOI-TV as weather anchor, news anchor and reporter.
Bullion moved up the market chain to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he worked as a weather anchor and reporter for KXRM-TV after two years. While reporting on various environmental and human interest issues, he experienced the changes in weather patterns in the Rocky Mountains.
After Colorado, Bullion decided to take a risk and took a job as a weekend weather anchor and weekday weather producer at KTVA-TV in Anchorage, Alaska. He returned home to Metro Detroit after a brief stay at Last Frontier and took some time off.
Bullion graduated in Northern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in electronic journalism and media studies (Go Cats!). He is very happy to be back home and doing what he likes! During the week, you can catch him reporting.
